Privacy policy
LetKiddo collects nothing about you or your children. It has no accounts, no servers and no analytics. Everything the app knows sits in a database on your own device.
Who this is from
LetKiddo is published by [Publisher], established in [Country]. For anything in this policy, write to hello@letkiddo.app.
What the app collects
Nothing. There is no sign-up, no profile, no identifier assigned to you, and no code in the app that sends data anywhere. The app works the same with the device in airplane mode, which is the simplest way to check this for yourself.
What the app stores on your device
- The names you type for the people in your family.
- The buddy, colour and stamp each of them picked, and the order they appear in.
- The chores on each list, the days they are set to, and any tasks you wrote yourself.
- Which chores are stamped done today, and today's date.
- Your settings: the language, and the feature switches.
All of it lives in a local database on the phone or tablet, readable only by the app. It is included in a device backup if you have one turned on, in which case it is covered by Apple's or Google's backup terms rather than by this policy. Deleting the app deletes the database with it.
Children
The app is made for young children to use. It shows no ads, contains no purchases, links to nothing outside itself and asks for no personal details. A grown-up types the names, and a name is the only thing in the app that could identify anyone. Since nothing is transmitted, nothing about a child reaches us or anyone else.
Permissions
On Android the app's manifest lists audio permissions, which the audio library adds so the app can play its own sound effects through the media path. The app plays the chimes bundled with it. It never records audio, and it does not ask for the camera, contacts, location or storage.
Third parties
The app bundles no advertising, tracking or crash-reporting code. If you install through the App Store or Google Play, those stores collect their own download and purchase data under their own policies, which we cannot see beyond the anonymous totals the store shows any developer.
This website
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The one font file it loads comes from Google Fonts, so Google sees the request the way it sees any web request, including your IP address. The waitlist form opens your own mail app with a message addressed to us; nothing is submitted anywhere until you press send, and an address you send us is used once, to tell you the app launched, and then deleted. The host serving these pages keeps ordinary server logs.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to see, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to hand over or erase, except a waitlist address, which we will delete on request. The data in the app is already entirely in your hands: edit it in the grown-ups sheet, or delete the app to remove all of it.
Changes
If the app ever gains a feature that sends data anywhere, this page will say so before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
The short version
No account, no server, no analytics, no ads. Your family's names and chores never leave the device they were typed on.
